Production Supervisor 

A growing local company is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join a well established team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of production workers by performing the following duties.

•             Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications.
•             Setup and make adjustments of machines/filling lines.
•             Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
•             Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
•             Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet deadlines.
•             Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
•             Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of production staff
•             Analyses and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
•             Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
•             Communicate daily and directly to your line manager in order to understand operational targets and to discuss any shortfalls from the previous working day.
•             Communicate any operational shortfalls immediately and directly to your line manager and ensuring that any equipment faults or failures are highlighted immediately to our on-site engineer.
•             In the absence of your production filling manager, be prepared to attend any senior level operational meetings as directed.
•             Be responsible for highlighting and addressing any H&S or poor housekeeping issues within your operational area.
•             Report on daily attendance of your designated shift and be prepared to move colleagues around to cover shortfalls on a daily and at times hourly basis.
